Milton-Union High School is currently planning a High School/Middle School Career Day for May 1, 2019, and we are in need of local colleges and businesses, as well as, guest speakers in the following career fields: 

  • Advanced Manufacturing (Robotics, CNC, Precision Machining, 3D Printing)
  • Architecture & Construction (Engineering, Design, Construction & Trades)
  • Arts & Technology (Media & Video, Graphic & Digital Design)
  • Business (Ownership, Management, Administration, HR, Banking/Finance, Accounting, Tax Prep)
  • Health Sciences (Sports, Medical, Nurse, Doctor, Therapy, HR, Coding/Transcription)
  • Human Services (Counselor, Social Work, Teacher/Education)
  • IT (Computer Software Engineering, Programming, Development)
  • Law/Public Safety (Legal, Police, Fire, EMS)
  • Skilled Trades (Welder, Electrician, HVAC, Apprenticeships)
  • Agriculture/Animal Science (Vet/Vet Tech, )
  • Job Readiness (Resume writing, Cover Letters, Interviewing Tips, Employability Skills, Soft Skills)

ANY AND ALL LOCAL AND IN-DEMAND CAREER FIELDS ARE WELCOME!

Students will rotate classrooms and attend four separate sessions during this time.

  • Session 1: 7:30-8:18
  • Session 2: 8:21-9:09
  • Session 3: 9:12-10:00
  • Session 4: 10:03-10:51

From 7:30-12:00, there will also be a college/career fair going on in the gymnasium for any businesses, colleges, military, or apprenticeship coordinators who would like to set up tables and meet with students in grades 7-12.

From 10:51-12:00, the high school gymnasium will be opened to all High School and Middle School students for a Career/College Fair. So, if you would also or just like to set up a table, please let us know!

It is possible multiple speakers may be scheduled in one room for related career topics and we welcome as many presenters as possible! Any and all presentations, visual aids, brochures, handouts, props, and other materials are welcomed and encouraged!
