Remote Learning

As of today, January 26, 2026, the Milton-Union Schools have used four “calamity” days. According to the forecast, severe winter weather is expected to continue, so parents and families should prepare for remote learning beginning with the sixth day of school closure.

Your students’ teachers have been preparing for remote learning and the possibility of a sixth calamity day. Through building announcements, Seesaw, Microsoft Teams, or other means, communications regarding remote learning have already started. Please read below for each building’s plan to deliver remote learning assignments.

Milton-Union High School: With 1:1 student devices, course assignments will be delivered electronically through Microsoft Teams.

Milton-Union Middle School: Students in grades six through eight have also been assigned individual devices, and classwork will be delivered through Microsoft Teams as well.

Milton-Union Elementary School: Students are provided paper copies of assignments to complete beginning with the sixth and each subsequent calamity day. Depending on the teacher, your child may have already been given enough work for multiple calamity days, so parents and families should monitor that students are completing only one day’s work for each day school is closed. If your student has not yet received any assignments to complete when schools are closed, the classroom teacher will correct and adjust on the next regular school day.

Teachers will be available via Microsoft Teams, Seesaw, and email if you or your student have any questions. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you for your continued support of the Milton-Union Schools.
