☀️ Smiles, sunshine, and lots of fun! Students from Ms. Embry, Ms. Peltier, and Ms. Stephan’s classes enjoyed a trip to the park filled with play, laughter, and time together outdoors. 🌳🛝💙

📣 Due to forecasted weather, Fun Day has been moved to Thursday, May 28! ☀️

Important end of the year information for Milton-Union Elementary School.

Ms. Puderbaugh's class wrapped up an engaging Great Depression unit! Students participated in a hands-on simulation where their “families” had to budget money and survive seven months during the Great Depression — all while facing unexpected and realistic challenges along the way.

Watching students problem-solve, make difficult decisions, and build deeper understanding by “living through” the experience was incredibly powerful. Learning truly came to life! 💡📚

Our 4th graders combined creativity, technology, and literacy in an exciting project using computer programming and Makey Makey kits to create sound effect buttons for storybooks! 📚🎶💻

To make the experience even more special, they shared their sound-enhanced stories with our preschool students, who loved listening and interacting with the books. It was a wonderful opportunity for collaboration, creativity, and hands-on learning across grade levels!

Last week, Mrs. Watkins’ 3rd grade class teamed up with Mrs. Lane’s kindergarten class to thank them for all the special treats and encouragement during state testing! 💙 Students loved spending time together completing activities, introducing themselves, shaking hands, and serving as positive role models. Such a special partnership between our Bulldogs! 🐾

All 3rd - 5th grade classrooms were paired with a classroom in Kinder - 2nd to be testing buddies! Classrooms shared words of encouragement and support all throughout testing!

🦜 Mrs. Barnes’ 1st grade class has been learning all about animals and the different structures that help them survive! Students explored how birds use their beaks by testing different “beaks” to pick up food. We discovered that certain beaks work better for different types of birds and foods. It was a fun, hands-on way to learn about animal adaptations and survival!

What an amazing evening at our Family Fest! 🎉💙🐾

Thank you to all of our families, staff, community partners, and vendors who helped make the night such a success. From free pizza sponsored by the PTO, Kona Ice, Tom's Coffee to fun activities and community resources, it was wonderful seeing our school community come together.

A very special shoutout goes to Mark Cooper, School Social Worker, for organizing this incredible event and working so hard to make it a fun and meaningful evening for our families. We appreciate all of the time, effort, and care that went into making Family Fest such a great experience for everyone! 👏✨
