She became a teacher to make a positive impact in students' lives and loves the joy they bring to hers. Outside the classroom, she enjoys playing softball, reading Harry Potter, and spending time with her two German Shepherds, Remy and Luna.

Second Lady Usha Vance has officially launched the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge for K–8 students—from June 1 to September 5
Here's the scoop:
🌟 Students read 12 books of their choice—alone or with an adult—and log their progress.
✅ Every participant gets a personalized certificate and a small prize.
🏛️ Complete all twelve and enter to win an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C. with a family chaperone!
