The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce released their school report cards on Monday, September 15, 2025. Congratulations to the students and staff at Milton-Union Middle School for the excellent work they have done and the significant improvements that were made in our ratings last school year!
MUMS is scored in four categories: Overall Building Rating, Achievement, Progress and Gap Closing. All of these ratings are out of a possible 5-star rating.
Overall Building Rating is 4 stars.
Achievement tracks student performance on state tests in grades 6-8 and whether they met state thresholds over last school year. Milton-Union Middle School scored 3-stars, which is an identical score from the year prior.
Progress shows the improvement or decline in student performance by comparing state test scores for the 2024-2-25 school year to the state test scores from the two previous school years (2023-2024 and 2022-2023). Milton-Union Middle School scored 4-stars, which is an improvement from a 3-star rating the year prior.
Gap Closing determines whether students of different races, income levels and abilities are meeting state standards. Factors like chronic absenteeism, gifted services and support for English learners are all considered in this category. Milton-Union Middle School scored 4-stars, which is an improvement from a 3-star rating the year prior.
Once again, great job to the students and staff on a job well done!
Go Dogs!
